In order to improve the technical knowledge and profiency of the Indonesian Capital Market players, we have taken various steps, among others are launching Capital Market education programs, setting up a number of Professional Associations and establishing The Committee for Capital Market Professional Standards.
The Indonesian Capital Market Law No.8/1995 of November 10, 1995, regarding the Capital Market, Government Regulation No.45 of December 30, 1995, regarding Activities in the Capital Market and Chairman of BAPEPAM Decree No.Kep-25/PM/1996 of January 17, 1996, regarding Licenses, stipulates among other things the licensing requirements for individual players engage in Capital Market activities in Indonesia and the duties and responsibilities of The Committee for Capital Market Professional Standards as the designated examiner of the competence of Capital Market professional. Passing the competency examinations is one of the requirements for obtaining Broker-Dealer, Underwriter and Investment Manager Representative individual licenses from BAPEPAM.
